More than 10,000 scientists from German universities and research centers are pursuing very different questions: They discover new particles, study the structure of nuclear matter, observe distant galaxies and new planets, and track chemical reactions in real time. With the continuous development and application of state-of-the-art technologies, the boundaries of what is possible and what is still unknown are being pushed further and further.
A key aspect of knowledge generation is large amounts of data and their analysis, known as big data and big data analytics. What is required is an efficient transformation from big data to smart data, which increasingly draws on methods from artificial intelligence in conjunction with in-depth domain knowledge. The aim of the ErUM Data Hub is to support all relevant measures for increased data-driven knowledge enhancement and knowledge transfer within the framework of a central networking and transfer point.
